Enabling believers to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18)
Growth . . . as individual believers with the privilege and responsibility of interpreting Scripture under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and according to his or her own conscience, and of entering the presence of God with no intermediary other than Jesus Christ.

Grace . . . as manifested by the involvement of each member in the church’s ministry of reconciling the world to God, sharing the love of Christ through both the words of evangelism and the deeds of personal and corporate ministry.

Knowledge . . .of the truth of God as developed by committed involvement in individual and corporate study of Scripture, prayer, and worship, in order to grow into mature followers of Jesus Christ.
